The Netflix series starring Lily Collins is back for another spin around the Seine with season 5 premiering on Dec. 18.

While it is called Emily in Paris, the titular character traded the City of Lights for an Italian adventure as she opens a new office for Agence Grateau.

"Emily’s going to have a presence in Rome. It doesn’t mean she’s not going to be in Paris," series creator Darren Star teased to Tudum.

The latest installment has a new setting, along with exciting additions to the cast, like Minnie Driver, who plays a princess. And although the show is in its fifth season, fans aren't ready to say "adieu."

Emily in Paris has not been officially renewed for season 6.

Season 5 premiered in December 2025, more than a year after season 4 ended in September 2024.

That same month, Collins broke the news that the series had been renewed for a fifth run.

In September 2024, it was revealed that Emily in Paris would return for a fifth season. According to Variety, the latest set of episodes started filming in May 2025,

Season 5 debuted in December 2025, while season 4 was released in two parts, in August 2024 and September 2024, respectively.

Which cast members could return for Emily in Paris season 6?

If Emily in Paris is renewed for a sixth season, it is expected that Collins would also return, since she plays Emily.

While fans await casting news for season 6, most of the Emily in Paris ensemble came back for season 5. In addition to Collins, the cast includes Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, William Abadie and Lucien Laviscount, among others.

Driver, Bryan Greenberg and Michèle Laroque were among the new additions for season 5.

One cast member who didn't reprise her character for the fifth season was Camille Razat, who said she had "nothing but love" for the cast, crew and fans.

“After an incredible journey, I’ve made the decision to step away from Emily in Paris,” the actress wrote in an April 2025 Instagram post. "It has been a truly wonderful experience, one filled with growth, creativity, and unforgettable memories."

Razat added that the door has been left open for a potential comeback.

Star hasn't spoken specifically about season 6 of Emily in Paris, but when asked by Entertainment Tonight in August 2024 about how long he sees the series running, he answered, "I will say as long as they'll have us, and as long as our audience is with us."

"I think the world just keeps broadening and becoming deeper as every season continues," he added.

Around the same time, Star told The Hollywood Reporter, "Well, let’s see how long they want us for. To me, great characters on a great series are like, I have a hard time letting go and saying goodbye. They always take you places."

The characters of Emily in Paris have spent time in France and Italy, and Star has teased that other international destinations could be featured in the future, maybe even a jaunt to London.

"I mean, the door’s open. Alfie is from London," Star told The Times in December 2025, referring to Emily’s ex-boyfriend. "Reasons to go to London. You put that idea in my head."
