It's been over a decade since 8-year-old Sophia Grace Brownlee and 5-year-old Rosie McClelland achieved near-instant fame for performing Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass" on The Ellen DeGeneres Show — and even though she's no longer that "little girl in a tutu and a tiara," Brownlee says that she hasn't changed.

"I'm still the same person," she told E! News in December 2021. "I still have the same crazy personality, but I just look more grown up."

The British cousins became an overnight sensation, appearing over 30 times on Ellen DeGeneres' talk show and even earning their own segment called "Tea Time with Sophia Grace & Rosie." They interviewed the likes of Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry, among others.

Since being discovered in 2011, Brownlee has pursued a number of creative ventures — including releasing music and writing children's books — and started a family. She's welcomed two children, River and Athena Rose, with her longtime boyfriend. Most recently, she announced in June 2026 that she was pregnant with her third child.

Brownlee has released several singles

In 2013, Brownlee released her first single "Girls Just Gotta Have Fun." She went on to release several more tracks, including "Best Friends," which charted on the Billboard Hot 100.

"We received a demo called 'Best Friends,' and my dad and I loved it," she told Billboardin January 2015. "I was so excited to go into the studio and put my vocals on it. My dad wrote a rap verse and I added that into the song. I love the message in the song and I think it's a great jam for all girls to dance and sing along to."

She starred in a movie and appeared on TV

Brownlee also tried her hand at acting, starring alongside McClelland in the 2014 full-length movie, Sophia Grace & Rosie's Royal Adventure, per her IMDb.

The duo also made appearances in shows like Sam & Cat and JoJo's Juice.

Away from the cameras, they wrote the 2013 book Tea Time with Sophia Grace & Rosie, which debuted at No. 2 on The New York Times' children's best-sellers list.

In 2020, Brownlee launched a fashion line called LoLo London, telling E! News she wanted to "make something everyone can relate to." As of 2026, the business's website appears to be defunct.

Brownlee said she's still "best friends" with McClelland

The influencer revealed to E! News that even though they "don't always post things together online," she's still as close as ever to her cousin.

"There's like a 4-year age gap, we have been close like sisters," Brownlee said. "We literally are like best friends ... We literally never had an argument and I hope that clears things up because for some reason, some people think we don't like each other, which is completely the opposite."

She added, "We're family. We're always supporting each other with everything."

She returned to The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2022

In May 2022, Brownlee and McClelland returned for The Ellen DeGeneres Show's final season — tutus and all — to reprise "Super Bass" one last time and reflect on how their viral moment first came to be.

"As a child, I always used to play dress up," Brownlee explained to DeGeneres. "I was dressing up, and Rosie's favorite costume happened to be The Virgin Mary — you know, Mary and Jesus."

McClelland was wearing her favorite religious costume when the video, which has since garnered over 55 million views on YouTube, was filmed.

"I kept singing Nicki Minaj all the time and my Auntie, Rosie's mom, was the only one who had an iPhone," Brownlee continued. "She said, 'Why don't we film it? Rosie, quickly get out of the Virgin Mary outfit and get into that outfit.' "

Brownlee welcomed two children with her boyfriend, with a third on the way

The YouTuber has been seemingly in a relationship since 2019, telling E! News that she keeps that part of her life "pretty private" and hasn't revealed his name.

The couple have since welcomed two children together: River, who was born in May 2023, and Athena Rose, who was born in January 2025.

Brownlee that she was pregnant with her third child the following year.

"We are so excited to meet you 🤍," she captioned an Instagram video of her showing her two children the ultrasound photos.
