While we're still over a month away from the start of another "Dancing with the Stars" season, we still are in the midst of finding the next new professional dancer.

"Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro" is halfway over, with six dancers still competing in a grueling audition process. for a coveted spot as a pro dancer on Season 35 of “Dancing with the Stars.”

Last week's episode brought DWTS champion Jenna Johnson to the ballroom to challenge the pairs to create routines inspired by the Argentine Tango and Rumba. The episode ended in a double elimination.

As of episode four, only one Floridian remains out of the original three. Erik Linder, 26, is a ballroom and Latin dancer from Tampa who previously appeared on "America's Got Talent" and performed on "DWTS."

When is the finale of 'Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro'?

As of Aug. 7, the finale date for "Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro" has not been officially announced.

However, the semifinals will air on Monday, Aug. 24; which means the finale will most likely air on Monday, Aug. 31.

Who went home on 'Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro' this week?

Tristen Sanders and Stephani Sosa left "DWTS: The Next Pro" during Episode 4 on this week.

They join the following eliminated contestants:

Briar Nolet (Premiere)

Jake Monreal (Premiere)

Benjamin "Benji" Castro (Episode 2)

Natalie Jolley (Medically removed, Episode 3)

Here are the dancers still fighting for a spot on the next season of 'DWTS' -

Adele Zaikman, 24, Los Angeles — Latin dancer and Blackpool Dance Festival champion.

AJ Pritchard, 31, London, England — Former "Strictly Come Dancing" professional dancer and reality TV veteran.

Allen Genkin, 36, San Jose, California — Won DWTS' "Ballroom Battle" challenge in 2012 and now co-owns a California dance studio.

Erik Linder, 26, Tampa, Florida — Ballroom and Latin dancer who previously appeared on "America's Got Talent" and performed on DWTS.

Nina Mayster, 28, Philadelphia — Latin dancer, national champion and dance studio owner.

Selena Hamilton, 21, Los Angeles — Commercial dancer who has performed with artists including Doechii and Lindsey Stirling.

The next episode of "Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro" airs Monday, Aug. 10, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. New episodes stream the next day on Hulu and Disney+.

When does 'Dancing with the Stars' premiere? How to watch

ABC confirmed that "Dancing with the Stars" Season 35 will have a two-night premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 15, and Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 8 p.m. ET.

Who won 'Dancing with the Stars' 2025?

Robert Irwin, wildlife conservationist and son of the late, great Steve Irwin, took home the Len Goodman Mirrorball trophy on the Season 34 live finale of "Dancing with the Stars," on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025. He and partner Witney Carson scored an 89 out of 90 total possible points throughout the night.

Irwin's older sister, Bindi Irwin, is also a "DWTS" winner. She claimed the trophy in 2015, at just 17 years old.

Florida-based influencer Alix Earle took second place with partner Val Chmerkovskiy and earned a perfect 90 out of 90 total possible points throughout the night. Earle was the only star to earn a perfect score on all three dance challenges.
