Tramell Tillman is sharing his experiences with Severance fan encounters

The Apple TV series star, who plays antagonist Seth Milchick, tells PEOPLE jokingly that people "tend to stay away from me"

He also shares the question he gets asked most by fans when they do approach him

Tramell Tillman's performance in Severance is certainly a convincing one!

The Emmy-winning actor, 40, caught up with PEOPLE at the Golden Globes First-Time Nominee Celebration in Beverly Hills on Dec. 17, and offered a cheeky response when asked how often fans approach him to chat about playing Severance antagonist, Seth Milchick.

"Funny enough, people tend to stay away from me," he joked. "I don't know why!"

Tillman added, "But no, the biggest question usually is about the next season and if it's going to happen. And that's just really empowering to know that so many really love it. They're excited about it."

The Apple TV series was renewed for another season the day after the season 2 finale dropped on March 21. So what can fans expect from Milchick this time around?

"I think this man has gone through so much in season 2," Tillman tells PEOPLE. "I think he needs some goat time. He needs some time with the familias to be with them and have a little goat therapy."

Tillman has been on the show since its debut in 2022, starring alongside the likes of Adam Scott, Britt Lower, John Turturro and more. Lower, 40, also shared her hopes for season 3 and her character, Helly/Helena, with PEOPLE.

"I'm in the great sense of anticipation, just like everyone else," she says while speaking to PEOPLE at the same event. "But I'm always curious to see where they're going and what they're up to. And because Helly and Helena are such complex parts of the same woman, I'm always curious to know what they have to learn from one another and how they evolve."

Back in April, Ben Stiller — who executive produces the series — confirmed to PEOPLE that he keeps an eye on fan theories tied to the show, before clarifying that they don't impact his decision making.

“No, I think you have to like take all that with a grain of salt and sort of appreciate that everybody has different ideas, but we have to have our own sort of clear idea of what we're doing that is independent of that," he said.

Creator Dan Erickson echoed Stiller’s comments. “I love reading the fan theories, but you do get in your head a little bit with it and you know at the end of the day we know we have this sort of roadmap that we've been following since we started and we're basically sticking to that,” he said.
