Sydney Sweeney's courtside appearance at Game 5 of the NBA Finals quickly became a talking point online, with New York Knicks fans worried the actress might bring bad luck to their beloved team.
Sweeney, 28, attended Saturday night's game between the Knicks and Spurs in San Antonio with boyfriend Scooter Braun, 44. The Euphoria star wore a customized Jalen Brunson jersey-style T-shirt with jeans as she cheered for New York.
The look was not standard team gear. Sweeney's white shirt featured Knicks colors and Brunson's No. 11, while she accessorized with a cobalt blue vintage Must de Cartier Tank watch and an orange enamel ring. The news followed Taylor Swift getting revenge on Scooter Braun at the previous NBA game.

But Sydney's appearance did not fill some Knicks fans who were watching the game with joy, and they quickly took to social media to share their thoughts.
"Knicks are losing," one user wrote under a post of hers.
While another added, "Spurs are winning."
"Hopefully, she'll be a good luck charm for the Knicks," one more hopeful fan said.

Sweeney and Braun also attended Game 4 at Madison Square Garden earlier in the week.
Braun later said Sweeney surprised him with tickets "in the same section" as his father and brother so he could "share it" with them.
At that game, Sweeney and Braun were seen a few rows behind Taylor Swift, as the Knicks pulled out a key win.
The couple showed excitement during the game and shared multiple affectionate moments from their seats.

"Still buzzing and haven't slept all night as that was one of the greatest nights of my life. That is what sports and basketball are all about. It brings people together," Braun wrote in the caption, which included videos of him celebrating with his father, Ervin Braun, and his brother, Adam Braun.
Sweeney's Knicks-themed wardrobe has also extended beyond the arena. At the New York game, she coordinated with Braun in a windbreaker and added reworked vintage Manolo Blahnik heels featuring a small basketball charm.
The pair later traveled to Los Angeles, where Sweeney appeared Friday at a pop-up event for her Syrn lingerie brand. She wore a blue-and-white outfit and again appeared with the same Must de Cartier watch.
