Seth Rogen and his wife Lauren Miller Rogen have been going strong for over 20 years.
The actor, 44, first met Lauren, also 44, in 2005 through mutual friends before marrying six years later in Sonoma County, Calif., on Oct. 2, 2011. Now, the two are working together as a producing duo on Tangles, an animated film that premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last month, while Seth is also starring in The Invite opposite Olivia Wilde, who also directed.

The movie is centered on two married couples, and Seth plays Joe, a man unhappy in his marriage. In a June 13 interview with The New York Times, Seth described the film as focusing on what defines good and bad relationships, which was strongly informed by what each star brought to the table — and he felt like he could safely speak to the good.
"People really bring their own personal stuff into those definitions," he explained. "I remember feeling like I could really confidently speak about what a very good relationship was like — one that had been good for a very long time."
So what's the secret? "It's a couple who is nice to each other, who loves each other and who goes out of their way to excuse the other person rather than to find things that they hate about the other person."
Journalist Lulu Garcia-Navarro then reflected on a previous interview Seth gave in which he talked about his wife encouraging his often silly and risky behavior, commenting that Lauren seems to want him to be "full Seth."

"She does, yes. And at times she will also tell me maybe it's too much Seth," he joked. "When we were making the Neighbors movies, a lot of the dynamic between me and Rose Byrne came from conversations with me and Lauren."

He continued, "She's not the naggy woman who's trying to shut down the fun. Me and her love doing the same stuff, and if anything, she's encouraging it."
In addition to the three main qualities Seth listed, he added that, for him, a lasting marriage "comes down to caring and tenderness."
"You have to want to love your partner, and you have to want them to love you back," he said. "You have to be intimate with your partner and sexually attracted to your partner, and that should be returned as well."
The Invite, he says, "really gets into that." "So very quickly, me and the other cast members and the writers found ourselves having incredibly revealing conversations," he said.
The Invite also stars Penélope Cruz and Edward Norton as a married couple. When the pair come over for a dinner party at Joe and Angela's (Wilde) house, they offer an intriguing proposition — but will it be the spark to reignite the former's marriage?
