The rift between the Sussexes and the Waleses, ever since the infamous 2020 “Megxit” fiasco, has become one of the biggest scandals of the Royal family. With Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also making some alarming revelations and allegations against the Royal family in Oprah Winfrey’s 2021 interview, their Netflix series Harry & Meghan and in Harry’s 2023 memoir Spare, the conflict only intensified. Now, a royal commentator feels that the Sussexes might “plot” to make Prince William’s reign “miserable” when he becomes the King, with the rivalry also passing down to their respective children.

During the July 29, 2026 episode of The Royalist podcast, Royal expert Mark Dolan hinted that not only will the rivalry between the Sussexes and the Waleses not end anytime soon, but it might take a turn for the worse.

Harry And Meghan Might Make Things ‘Miserable’ for William

Dolan told host Tom Skyes, “Meghan and Harry will make life a misery for King William and Queen Catherine.” The royal commentator claimed that Harry and Meghan would love to establish a base in the U.K. in the future, adding, “I think up to half the year with this rival court, and then it’s going to carry on into the next generation.”

However, Dolan made a more sinister prediction, saying that this bitter conflict could eventually extend to the next generation and that Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet could become part of the broader family rivalry.

He also claimed that the Sussex children would make things challenging for their cousins, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, indicating that this Royal family feud will be passed down to future generations in an ugly manner.

The Royal Conflict Might Pass Down To The Next Generation

Mark Dolan said, “Archie and Lili, when they’re teenagers and young adults, I predict will make life a misery for George, Charlotte and Louis.” Meanwhile, another senior royal insider told Radar Online that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might be building a more macabre conspiracy against the future King William and Queen Catherine.

The source said, “There is a view inside the palace that the Sussexes want to operate as a sort of parallel royal household, splitting their time between California and Britain, staging their own appearances, and surrounding themselves with a circle of high‑profile supporters and celebrities.”

The insider added, “If they do end up spending part of each year in the U.K. with that kind of setup, it inevitably eats into the space that should belong to Prince William once he is King. What really worries people is the prospect that every big moment on the royal calendar ends up with a competing storyline.”

The royal source predicted that if Prince William and Kate Middleton embark on an important public engagement, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex might immediately “compete” with them by releasing a documentary, podcast, or a public sighting.

The insider said, “You have coronations, jubilees, major overseas tours that are supposed to showcase the work of William and Catherine – and at the same time there is this expectation that the Sussex camp will drop a podcast, a documentary teaser, a charity launch or a high‑gloss photo shoot.”
