Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the greatest footballers of all time, will participate in his historic sixth FIFA World Cup tournament but has yet to capture soccer's most prestigious title. Ronaldo remains determined to add this elusive trophy to his collection, setting his sights on glory in what may be his final opportunity.
Ronaldo first made his FIFA World Cup debut in the 2006 tournament held in Germany. At just 21 years old, he played in six matches, scoring once. He helped propel Portugal to an impressive fourth-place finish.
Perhaps his most memorable World Cup performance came in the 2018 tournament in Russia, where he scored four goals in four appearances, including a sensational hat-trick against Spain. Despite his efforts, Portugal was eliminated in the Round of 16, falling short of expectations.
