Warning: Spoilers ahead for the season 1 finale of Pluribus.

Rhea Seehorn had a sweet tooth on the set of Pluribus, her costar Karolina Wydra explained.

At the Gotham TV Awards 2026 on June 1 in New York City, Wydra, 45, revealed why Seehorn, 54, had to have a certain pastry every day while they were filming Apple TV+'s Pluribus.

"Oh, well, I did talk about it recently. Rhea has this thing where she has to have a donut every day on set and so she can only have half a donut or she wants to have a half a donut," Wydra told PEOPLE. "So then I would always have her half a donut. And then, normally I don't eat donuts, but every day on set I would half my donut with Rhea. That was a ritual. And I haven't had my donuts since so I cannot wait for my donut diet to come back season 2."

The donut splitting became a hilarious tradition between the two costars that "just came out of nowhere."

Wydra remarked that it was a "really sweet" thing and that they "truly" had "the best time on set."

She continued, "Oh, I'm going to have that donut. But [Seehorn] likes them simple and so sometimes I do have more than one because I like things filled, donut filled with something."

"I like to eat half a donut on set every single day," Seehorn previously said in an interview for Variety. "And I really, really don't want to throw the other half away."

Wydra joked, "Donut is a must."

Seehorn, who reunited with Better Call Saul creator Vince Gilligan for his latest series, plays Carol in Pluribus. The show finds Carol living in a world where everyone around her is controlled by an alien virus known as the "Hive Mind."

Carol is only one of 13 people that wasn't impacted by the virus, and she is trying to reverse the effects with the hopes of saving the world.

Meanwhile, Wydra plays Zosia, a member of the hive mind that has been assigned to be Carol's chaperone and point of communication with the aliens.

When asked if Wydra has any theories as to what season two of Pluribus might look like, she said she "would love to know more about the radio frequency that was introduced, that Manousos [played by Carlos-Manuel Vesga] finds. I would love to know what's that about."

"Because I didn't ask Vince about Zosia's backstory when I started the season because I didn't want it to color my performance, I would love to maybe find out who Zosia was prior to the joining," Wydra said. "And then obviously the atom bomb. That's a big one. That's, yeah, are we going to use it? Where are we using it?"

The Pluribus season 1 finale ended with Carol, who has every wish granted by the aliens, deciding to ask for an atom bomb — and they deliver it to her street.

In January, Seehorn won Best Actress in a Drama Series at the 2026 Critics' Choice Awards. "When he called me and said he wrote something for me and said, 'But I'm not ready to give you the script,' I said, 'It doesn't matter, just yes.' And he was like, 'Well, no, just wait and read it,' " she said about collaborating with Gilligan again while backstage in the press room of the event.

"I said, 'No, it's fine. It's just fine. We'll do it,' " she added.

Seehorn previously told PEOPLE in November, "Vince said to me — I'll try to do it without crying — he said to me that somewhere along the line he was watching me in Saul, and whenever we took a little swerve and it was comedic or it was dark or psychological or dramatic, that there was some point at which he was like, 'I want to give her these other things to do.' "And I was like, 'No, we haven't.' Then, I did the math because of Better Call Saul … and it has been that long," she continued. "And for somebody who I think is one of the best writers, television writers, probably just writers of all time in our generation, to say that they want to create a role for me — that's a lot. I'm still working on taking that one in."

Pluribus season 1 is available to stream on Apple TV+.
