Princess Beatrice’s husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, has shared some rare comments about family life.
Edo, 42, recently took part in a Q&A for Gentleman’s Journalthat spotlighted him as an “industry leader” for his work with his interior design and architecture firm, Banda Properties. During the chat, the husband and father of three made several mentions of his family life.
Asked to name his “perfect holiday,” he responded, “Getting off the beaten track, disconnecting from emails and news and spending time with my family.”
He also named “travel and time with family” as his biggest luxury and “time with family and friends” as his ideal way to relax.

The rare interview comes a few months after reports of marital strife between Edo and Beatrice, 37, who tied the knot in 2020. The couple shares two daughters, Sienna, 4, and Athena, 1, and the princess is also a stepmother to 10-year-old Christopher “Wolfie” Woolf, her husband’s son from a previous relationship.
In March, The Mail on Sundayreported that a “distance” had grown between the couple as they dealt with the fallout from the scandals linking Beatrice’s parents, the former Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, to Jeffrey Epstein. The outlet claimed that, while Beatrice was focused on supporting her family, Edo was retreating into his work.
“Things haven’t been great for a while between them, but Beatrice has been determined to soldier on and forge a path through,” a source told the Mail. “She wants to stay together, but he seems more and more distracted by work and travel. Just when she needs him most, he’s been pulling away.”
However, a source close to the couple exclusively told PEOPLE at the time that any rumors about marriage trouble between Beatrice and Edo were “complete nonsense.”

Andrew has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing in connection with Epstein, and Ferguson has not been accused of any. However, in February, Andrew was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office, related to a claim that he shared confidential information with Epstein during his time as a trade envoy for the U.K.
Following the arrest, a source told PEOPLE that Eugenie and Beatrice hoped to “stay away” from the controversy surrounding their parents for the sake of their own growing families.
“They have young children, and this is their grandfather — their focus is on protecting their own children from this,” the insider said.
However, another source, a family friend, told PEOPLE in a March 2026 cover story that Beatrice and Eugenie “want to hold on to their royal status,” amid the turmoil. “It’s their identity,” the source added.
Earlier this week, Edo welcomed the newest member of the royal family with a subtle Instagram comment.
On Aug. 4, Beatrice’s younger sister, Princess Eugenie, 36, took to social media to announce that she and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, 40, had welcomed their third child the day prior. The baby girl, whose name has not yet been announced, joins big brothers August Philip Hawke, 5, and Ernest George Ronnie, 3.
“Jack and I are so excited to announce Baby Girl Brooksbank!! We are beyond in love with our girlie,” Eugenie captioned a pic of the newborn on her personal Instagram page. Buckingham Palace shared the same photo, with a statement that read, in part, “Their Majesties The King and Queen and other members of The Royal Family were delighted to be informed of the news.”
Edo joined thousands of friends and followers in Eugenie’s comment section, sharing three pink hearts and an angel baby emoji.
