The latest fiasco within the palace walls suggests that Queen Camilla‘s alleged “interference” in Prince Harry’s recent reunion with his father, King Charles, has reportedly unsettled palace insiders, especially Prince William, who feels that this is the Queen Consort allegedly attempting to undermine his authority and meddle in a sensitive matter.
Harry visited Charles on July 10, 2026, at Highgrove House, Gloucestershire, along with his wife Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, when he was in the U.K. to mark the one-year countdown to the Invictus Games.
Queen Camilla’s “Interference” In Prince Harry’s Reunion With King Charles Leaves Royal Insiders Perturbed
Camilla was also present at the meeting, which did not go down well with many palace insiders, especially William, who was reportedly left fuming. The Prince of Wales did not attend the meeting reportedly because he is not ready to forgive his younger brother anytime soon for turning his back on the institution.
The rift has been fueled by the Sussexes’ public allegations about the Royal family, including claims that they were mistreated and disrespected by the institution. The Duke of Sussex also penned some disturbing details about his tumultuous phase within the royal family in his 2023 memoir Spare.
While Buckingham Palace confirmed the reunion, Prince Harry and his family’s meeting with King Charles and Queen Camilla reportedly took place in an extremely private setting, with no further details disclosed and no photographs leaked.
An insider has now told Radar Online, “Camilla argues that she was there to watch over things and keep an eye on Meghan because she doesn’t trust her. She insists she only agreed to go because Charles needed her there to support him and protect him, but William isn’t buying that. ”
The source added, “As far as he’s concerned, it was a classic case of her trying to divide and conquer, and he’s furious she inserted herself into such a sensitive meeting without his backing.”
Sources Reveal William Never Trusted Camilla
The insider added that Prince William has never trusted his stepmother and is now uneasy about her taking part in the reunion without his knowledge with the Sussexes.

The source told the publication, “He has never trusted her, and the only thing they’ve agreed on in recent years is how poisonous Meghan and Harry are – so the fact that she’s gone behind his back and made this show of welcoming them has set all his alarms ringing.”
Not only that, but the Prince of Wales reportedly felt that the Queen Consort wished to send him a message that she is “more in power” here, which has inevitably left him seething with rage.
The insider said, “He’s convinced this was her way of trying to undermine his authority and send the message that she’s still got more power than he does and he’s livid.”
Social media users also reacted when the first reports that Camilla was part of King Charles and Prince Harry’s reunion surfaced. One of the social media users said, “Typical meddling stepmother behavior. Camilla had given private information to her media friends in the past.”
An X user added, “Don’t worry, she will be sure to tell the gossip rags all about it.” However, one user on X praised her, writing, “Whatever one may think of her, she protects him with all her might.”
