Prince Harry reportedly once said thatKing Charles was “not a hands-on father” during an interview. The Duke of Sussex had a falling out with the monarch after stepping down from his senior working royal duties. The rift deepened further when Harry publicly spoke about his grievances against the Royal Family in several interviews and later in his memoir, “Spare.” Now, after Harry and Charles finally reunited during a meeting on July 10, his years-old comments about his father have resurfaced once again.

Prince Harry once called King Charles a ‘not a hands-on father,’ claims journalist

Angela Levin, a renowned journalist, wrote on her Substack post that Prince Harry once described King Charles as “not a hands-on father.” In her post, she shared her views on the prince’s personality. She wrote that Harry has always been “entitled” and, while he has a humorous side and natural charisma, he can also be “resentful and demanding.”

She continued by saying that even at 41, Harry believes life has been “unfair” to him and wants things to go his way. According to Levin, even though Harry and Meghan Markle resigned from their royal duties in 2020, the duke still wants all the privileges of being a member of the royal family, further calling him a “spoilt child.”

Levin also shared her thoughts on Harry’s relationship with his father, Charles. She claimed that the prince wants the monarch to “apologise” to Markle. Instead, she believes that the Duchess of Sussex should be the one offering an apology.

She further argued that Harry‘s “entitled behaviour” has cost him popularity over the years. He wrote in his memoir, “Spare,” about having a smaller room than his brother, Prince William. The duke also talked about receiving “one less sausage at supper.” According to Levin, he is so determined to have things his own way. This is why Queen Camilla remained by Charles’ side during the reunion between the Sussexes and the king.

Levin also revisited an interview Harry gave years ago. She recalled that he described Charles as “not a hands-on father,” a remark she considered “tactless.”
