Katseye’s Manon Bannerman didn’t join the group’s Coachella performance last night.

She was, however, at the festival and posted a message to fans from there.

The group’s entertainment company HYBE confirmed she wouldn’t join them onstage on Thursday.

Katseye performed at Coachella as just a fivesome on Friday night—but their sixth member, Manon Bannerman, was at the festival. Bannerman posted an Instagram Story from Coachella with a message to fans, writing, ā€œ6 milli of u, sending warm hugs and kisses to all of u. thank you.ā€ She was also seen watching Sabrina Carpenter’s set with Chappell Ronan.

Katseye’s entertainment company, HYBE, told The Korea Herald on Thursday that Bannerman would not be part of the group’s Friday night performance. ā€œManon remains on hiatus,ā€ HYBE said.

HYBE and Bannerman announced her hiatus from the group in February. HYBE said in a statement, ā€œAfter open and thoughtful conversations together, we are sharing that Manon will be taking a temporary hiatus from group activities to focus on her health and wellbeing. We fully support this decision. Katseye remains committed to showing up for one another and for the fans who mean everything to us. The group will continue scheduled activities during this time, and we look forward to being together again when the time is right. Thank you to our EYEKONS for your continued love, patience, and understanding.ā€

Bannerman later shared her own message on Weverse, telling fans, ā€œHi friends. I want you to hear this from me. I’m healthy, I’m okay, and I’m taking care of myself. Thank u for checking in! Sometimes things unfold in ways we don’t fully control, but I’m trusting the bigger picture. Thank you for standing by me. I love you endlessly and can’t wait to see you again.ā€

It’s unclear whether Bannerman will ultimately return to Katseye. She gave fans an update about her conversations with HYBE on April 3 after drawing attention for removing ā€œKatseyeā€ from her Instagram bio.

ā€œThank you so much for all the love and support you've been sending my way,ā€ Bannerman wrote on Weverse. ā€œI’m really grateful for the patience and kindness everyone has shown during this time. HxG and I are having positive conversations and I feel supported. I’m happy and I’m healthy. I'll share more soon. Thank you for always being there for me.ā€

Ahead of the group’s performance, Nylon published a new cover story with the group on April 7. Bannerman was part of the interview and shoot, which were conducted before her announced break.

She discussed what being in Katseye had taught her about online commentary. ā€œWhat we’ve learned about what it takes to be an artist is not paying too much attention to what is happening online,ā€ she said. ā€œI think once you get famous, there’s so many opinions all of a sudden about you. Everyone’s judging and having something to say. Just keep building a wall between all of that.ā€

Lara, meanwhile, spoke about the girls’ hopes for their Coachella performance: ā€œI think Coachella is going to be a very huge and iconic moment for us,ā€ she said. ā€œWe’re all very obviously inspired by Beychella and Blackpink Coachella and how much effort they’ve put into their Coachella performances. We want it to be very grand and this big pivotal moment for us.ā€
