Lauren Sánchez Bezos is celebrating her past as she looks towards her future.
The Emmy-winning journalist turned 56 on Friday, Dec. 19, and marked the occasion by sharing an Instagram reel featuring some of her favorite moments from the past year, including her wedding to Jeff Bezos, 61.
Sánchez Bezos tied the knot with the Amazon founder, 61, in a star-studded ceremony on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, Italy, on Friday, June 27.

The couple celebrated their Italian nuptials over several days, welcoming a number of their celebrity friends, including Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Orlando Bloom, Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Karlie Kloss, Leonardo DiCaprio, Usher, and Tom Brady.
In her post, Sánchez Bezos included several behind-the-scenes glimpses into the festivities, including a clip of her practicing her walk in her unforgettable lace Dolce & Gabbana wedding dress.

Another shot showed the new bride smiling from ear to ear as she looked at the sun on a balcony, as the Eiffel Tower stood in the distance.
Some photos appeared to be from the wedding preparations, including a snap of Sánchez Bezos wearing a face mask while working out.
"Another trip around the sun and if you had told me when I was a little girl this is what life would look like at 56, I’m not sure I would’ve believed you… and it’s not even about the big moments," Sánchez Bezos wrote in her caption. "The wedding was beautiful, but what stayed with me were our kids’ words."

She and her husband have a blended family — Bezos has four children, and Sánchez Bezos has three: son Nikko, 24, with ex Tony Gonzalez, and son Evan, 19, and daughter Ella, 17, with ex Patrick Whitesell.
Elsewhere in the post, Sánchez Bezos highlighted her other major achievements — writing her first book, The Fly Who Flew to Space, going on a round-trip mission to the edge of space with Bezos' company, Blue Origin, and dropping her son, Evan, off at college.
"Going to space gave me an unexpected clarity," she wrote. "Dropping one child off at college, watching another get accepted this year and one building a life of his own has grounded me in a way nothing else could. Releasing the book shifted something too."
After sharing that she was happy to hear stories from children struggling with dyslexia and other learning disabilities, Sánchez Bezos said that her year revolved around the "quiet moments" filled with "family, work, and growth."
