- Kylie Kelce details her "recent crash out" after a mice infestation was found in their home's kitchen.
- The mom of four made the startling discovery after a "waterfall of dog food" poured out of their broken dishwasher.
- To combat the rodents, Kelce is pushing her husband Jason to let her adopt a cat.
The Kelce family may soon be growing again, but this time with a fur baby, particularly a mouser cat.
Kylie Kelce kicked off the latest episode of her *Not Gonna Lie* podcast by revealing the truth about a recent "skin-crawling" incident at the home she shares with her retired NFL champion husband Jason Kelce, their four daughters, and two dogs.

As she explained, she's incredibly particular about cleanliness in the kitchen and especially loves her dishwasher because of its "sanitize" setting.
"It makes my heart happy," said Kelce. "I like to blast basically power wash my dishes and then heat them to a temperature that is going to annihilate anything that could possibly be on them."
So when the appliance displayed an "error code" related to the heat pump, she immediately called a repair service.
A "very nice gentleman" came out, assessed the situation, and determined it would be a simple fix: He'd pull out the dishwasher, replace the heat pump, and "then you should be good to go."

But it was only the beginning of Kelce's problems.
When the repairman pulled out the dishwasher, "a waterfall of dog food" came with it. To her horror, rodents had been storing the kibble inside the dishwasher and to "make room" for it all, "they decided to chew every wire they could find," Kelce said.
Her natural instinct was to sanitize the immediate area.
"I was angrily bleaching the entire kitchen floor because there was mouse droppings and I don't want hantavirus," recounted Kelce, referencing the rodent-borne virus that recently made headlines for breaking out on the *MV Hondius* cruise ship in the Atlantic Ocean and killing several passengers.
"I hate mice,” she said emphatically. "Their little naked tails. This is not a matter of cleanliness. I wanna be clear on that. There's gonna be so many people with opinions on this. 'They have mice in their house.' You probably do too. You can't keep them out."
Kelce vowed she will "figure this out" to take back her home from rodents — and she already has a plan of action in mind.
"It might, maybe, end up in a situation where there is a feline resident,” she revealed. "I still am crashing out. It was bad. It was bad. Oh, it was so bad. Oh, thinking about it is making my skin crawl."

There's just one thing standing in the way of a cat joining the Kelce household: Jason. The football star has been adamantly against one, a topic that has repeatedly come up over the past year on *Not Gonna Lie*.
"My husband has told our daughters that cats are poisonous," Kylie revealed in March 2025 after their oldest daughter Wyatt said she wanted to get one from the ASPCA. "He is desperate to not have a cat, which is hilarious… [because] he grew up with a cat, Flash, who he was forever impressed by [when] she would catch birds mid-air in the backyard, and it blew his mind."
Kelce's future sister-in-law, Taylor Swift, has also tried to change his mind by bringing around her three cats, Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson, and Benjamin Button.

"It was actually really a great challenge, because as soon as I got the kids around the cats, it was my goal to prove to them that they weren’t poisonous," Swift joked on Jason and Travis Kelce's *New Heights* podcast. "And there’s no better way to prove that than to just hand them Benjamin, my rag doll cat, who lets humans hold him like he’s a baby."
Jason acknowledged he was open to a Kelce cat, but not as a pet.
"There's a chance I've been talked into a barn cat,” he told Swift, "that does not go inside, that will survive off of rodents in the field and guard our house."
