Few people have had as exciting a January as Jessie Buckley. The Irish actor, who now has a Golden Globe and a Critics Choice award under her belt, has been celebrating her award-season sweep with emotional speeches, talk show interviews, and striking style choices alike. At Jimmy Kimmel Live, she hit all three.

Sitting down with the host to discuss all things Hamnet, Buckley let viewers in on her experience working with co-star Paul Mescal on the award-winning film, growing up without a television, and the Polish crew member who she thanked in her Golden Globes speech for making made a potato-onion-carrot-meat soup on set.

“I actually texted him yesterday morning,” the actor told Kimmel about the chef. “I was like, ‘I hope you’re not getting hounded for the recipe for your soup.’”

“My cinematographer said it’s been all over Polish news,” she continued, joking that he’ll be setting up a new cooking show soon. “The poles take their soup very, very seriously. And this poor guy is on holidays in Tenerife and he just woke up to hearing his name be called out on the Golden Globes stage.”

For the occasion, Buckley picked out a Chanel look from Matthieu Blazy’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection. On top, she went with a white button-down shirt, designed with a bib panel, hidden button placket, and structured cuffs. At the waist, delicate red embroidery spelled out the French Maison’s name, trying out a new placement for a subtle logo design and sweet pop of color.

She paired the shirt with its runway counterpart, a black high-low skirt that trailed behind her in a dramatic train. Visible from the front, her cap-toe heels brought the black-and-white hues together.
