The 50-year-old Ted Lasso star and creator made a shocking confession about Ted’s infamous shortbread biscuits on Wednesday, Aug. 5.
While promoting the season 4 premiere of his beloved Apple TV+ series on Today with Jenna & Sheinelle, Sudeikis revealed that he’s never sampled the biscuits, which are known for coming in a pink box.
When Jenna Bush Hager gave Sudeikis some biscuits as part of a game, commenting that she hoped they were as good as Ted’s biscuits, Sudeikis replied, “Yeah, I mean, you would have to ask Hannah [Waddingham]. I’ve never actually had them.”

Waddingham plays soccer club president Rebecca Welton, and in the series, Ted famously delivers regular boxes of the treat for his “Biscuits with the Boss” chat sessions.
“You’ve never gotten curious and just said, ‘I wanna taste what this biscuit tastes like?’ ” Bush Hager asked Sudeikis.
“I’m not biscuit curious, no,” the SNL alum quipped.
And while Sudeikis isn’t well-versed in his own creations, Waddingham has been very open about her thoughts on eating the biscuits while filming.

“Any biscuit is better than the season 1 biscuit,” Waddingham told Jimmy Kimmel during an interview in 2021. “Although, the ones from season 2, I think because I’ve complained about them so greatly, they’ve added a lot of butter and a lot of sugar and that’s always going to make things better.”
Waddingham said that she improved scenes with the biscuits, adding Rebecca’s obsession with the homemade desserts.
“Season 1 was meant to be eating the biscuits because — spoiler alert — Ted’s making them,” she explained at the time. “But they didn’t expect me to go at them like a truffle hound because I decided that Rebecca should be, like, an emotional eater.”

She added that she bypassed the opportunity to avoid eating the sub-par snack.
“At the end of the take, they’d be like, ‘Do you want a spit bucket?’ And I’m be like, ‘No, that’s very inelegant,’ ” Waddingham recalled. “So I just constantly went with them. So it’s not really their fault. I did add it as quite a thing.”
Ted Lasso season 4 is currently streaming on Apple TV+ with new episodes dropping Wednesdays.
