Jessie Cave joined OnlyFans in 2025.

The Harry Potter actress posts non-explicit hair fetish content on the platform.

Cave said OnlyFans has ā€œgenuinely saved our lives,ā€ and shared a shocking milestone about her earnings on the platform.

Jessie Cave is making a magical amount of money — but not from her acting career.

The actress, best known for playing Lavender Brown in the final three Harry Potter movies, joined OnlyFans in 2025 to supplement her income. Less than two years into her time posting non-explicit material on the platform, she says it’s the most profitable decision she’s ever made.

ā€œI’ve earned more, easily, than my entire acting career within one year,ā€ Cave revealed in a new interview with U.K. outlet The Times.

Cave’s subscribers pay $6 a month to view her content, and she earns more for one-off ā€œpaid-for messages.ā€ She said that within a single day, she made Ā£15,000 (equivalent to around $20,236 at the time of writing).

The actress, who has also appeared on shows like Black Mirror and Industry and continues to appear on screen and stage, said she didn’t expect to stay on OnlyFans this long. ā€œI thought I’d make five grand, be on it for a few months and it would buy me time to work out what we’re going to do,ā€ she explained. ā€œBut it’s now been over a year and a half and it’s genuinely saved our lives.ā€

Cave said she was at ā€œa point of complete desperationā€ after a fruitless acting audition, so she joined OnlyFans because she needed to support her four children. She said that alternative day jobs wouldn’t come easily.

ā€œI couldn’t go and, say, work in a supermarket because I can’t afford the childcare, and also I don’t want people shouting Harry Potter spells at me as I work at Tesco,ā€ she said. ā€œI could retrain but I can’t afford to do a degree. I had a breakdown and I thought, that’s it with acting, I give up. But also we have no money.ā€

Cave posts ā€œhair contentā€ that appeals to a particular fetish crowd, emphasizing her long hair while fully clothed (though she wears various themed outfits, and sometimes dresses as her Potter character for the fans).

ā€œMy rule is the hair is the main character,ā€ she explained. ā€œThat’s how I justify it. It’s literally about hair: the texture of hair. The fetish. It’s very, very niche.ā€

She also noted that the length of her hair is important. ā€œIt’s down to my vagina,ā€ Cave said. ā€œI could trim it but the truth is, the weirder the better.ā€

Cave recognizes that people might get the wrong idea about her use of the platform. ā€œThere is a stigma,ā€ she says. ā€œI didn’t really understand the risk of people thinking I’m doing porn.ā€

She also recognizes that her non-explicit content isn’t the OnlyFans norm. ā€œYes, [OnlyFans] is largely porn,ā€ she said. ā€œBut there are cooking videos, tarot readings, personal training — it’s just all done with a sexy edge. It is about wanting some kind of gaze… I wear baggy T-shirts on stage, I’ve never posted a bikini shot, I wear huge glasses.ā€

She added, ā€œFor so long I’ve just been this quirky figure. After having four kids and feeling invisible for so long that was really appealing to me.ā€
