Dove Cameron and Damiano David are celebrating a major relationship milestone.

The Disney Channel alum kicked off her New Year by announcing that she and the Måneskin frontman are engaged after two years of dating.

“My favourite part of being alive. Happy new year," Cameron captioned a trio of images, adding a ring emoji. The first photo sees the happy couple locked in an embrace and staring into each other's eyes. The next two photos zoom in further, showing off the sparkling ring on Cameron's finger.

Over on his own Instagram page, David shared the same set of photos with the caption, "It’s gonna be a beautiful year."

Cameron was previously engaged to her former *Liv and Maddie *love interest Ryan McCartan, who proposed in April 2016 after three years of dating. Six months after the proposal, the couple announced their split. Cameron later dated her *Descendants *costar Thomas Doherty for four years. They split in 2020, the same year that Cameron publicly came out as bisexual.

Late last year, David and Cameron sparked engagement rumors when they were photographed together in Australia, with Cameron wearing a sparkler on her ring finger. That same October, the couple celebrated their two-year anniversary.

"The 2 best years of my life,” Cameron captioned an Instagram post, sharing a photo of them embracing at a restaurant. "I am brought to tears at least once a week because life has become so beautiful with you in it. I love you in a way no words could ever express, but i will never stop trying. buon anniversario amore mio."

David commented with a heart emoji, writing, "The best part of being alive."

Cameron and David first crossed paths at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, where the *Descendants* star and the Italian rock band were both nominated for Best New Artist. They met at the same event a year later, where David invited her to visit Måneskin during a concert at New York’s Madison Square Garden.

"It was very, very slow, cautious, feeling-out, interview-type questions for eight hours, before it was finally like, ‘OK, are we holding hands now?'" Cameron told *Cosmopolitan* of the backstage meeting in a 2024 interview."

During a March appearance on SiriusXM’s *Hits 1 *show, David described their relationship as the "healthiest" one he had ever been in, adding, "I’m in one of the happiest moments of my personal life."
