On June 6, 2026, Danielle Fishel attended the world premiere of Doc Meets World in New York City, along with fellow costars Rider Strong and Will Friedle

During the event, Fishel revealed the trio is planning to get matching tattoos to honor both their Boy Meets World past and their ongoing friendship through their podcast Pod Meets World

She also shared that they hope to have the tattoos done by someone with a personal connection to the show

More than 20 years after Boy Meets World ended, Danielle Fishel is still celebrating the friendships that came out of the beloved sitcom.

The 45-year-old actress, who played Topanga Lawrence on the series, recently shared plans for a matching tattoo with former costars Will Friedle, 49, and Rider Strong, 46, while attending the world premiere of Doc Meets World in New York City on June 6.

Fishel told the audience that the tattoo will include the phrase "Pod dismissed" — in the same font as their Boy Meets World scripts — as well as a drawing of a paper airplane.

The design carries special significance for the trio.

Fishel's portrayal of Topanga Lawrence helped make her one of Boy Meets World's most beloved characters, while Friedle and Strong became fan favorites as Eric Matthews and Shawn Hunter.

Decades after the series ended, the three stars continue to celebrate that shared history through Pod Meets World, where they revisit episodes and swap behind-the-scenes stories.

With "Pod dismissed" serving as a signature sign-off for the podcast, the phrase was a fitting choice for a tattoo that honors both their past and present, as "class dismissed" was the emotional closing line spoken by William Daniels' Mr. Feeny in the show's final scene.

When deciding where their tattoos would go, the group quickly discovered they were more in sync than they realized.

Recalling a conversation from the day before the premiere, Fishel said, "We were in the car yesterday and everyone was like, 'Are you guys going to get them? Are you going to all get them in different spots?' And we were like, 'Oh yeah, we're all getting them in different spots.' "

But as it turned out, that wasn't exactly true. Fishel explained that Strong was sitting in the back seat, she was in the middle and Friedle was in the front when Alexandra Barreto, Strong's wife, started asking each of them where they planned to place the tattoo.

Without seeing each other's answers, all three pointed to the same area on their lower arms.

The tattoo's sentimental value doesn't stop with the design or placement. Fishel revealed that she hopes the trio can have the artwork done by someone with a special connection to their Boy Meets World family.

"Another thing I really want to do, that we have to try to work out, just because we keep layering on sentimental thing on sentimental thing — Jeff McCracken, our favorite director's daughter is a tattoo artist," Fishel explained. "So I want Jeff McCracken's daughter to give us something."

And if everything comes together, the tattoo will represent much more than a podcast catchphrase. Between the script font, the shared placement and their hopeful connection to the tattoo artist, the project will become a tribute to friendship that has lasted long after the final episode wrapped.
