Brett Eldredge just revealed that he said "I do" during a private wedding ceremony.

On Monday, June 15, the country star, 40, announced that he recently tied the knot with his "amazing" bride, whose name he has not shared publicly.

"Over the last several years, life and my perception of it have changed drastically," Eldredge wrote on Instagram alongside two black-and-white photos of himself and his new wife on their wedding day. "I met an amazing woman who truly loves me for me, way beyond the fella with a microphone."

Emphasizing that she is "just as goofy as I am," Eldredge described his wife as "someone who loves weird barefoot dance-offs in the living room, looking up at the night sky and wondering what lies beyond what we cannot see. Someone I can have rolling belly laughs with, cry with, and go through life's tilt-a-whirl of emotions with. Someone who inspires me with her big, beautiful heart."

Although he didn't clarify when the ceremony took place or who was there to witness them exchanging their vows, Eldredge did confirm that somewhere "along the way, we got married."

Following their nuptials, Eldredge said that he is looking forward to "so many amazing things ahead" with his wife.

"I'm so grateful I have such a beautiful soul to share it all with," he wrote. "To me, some of the best things in life are the ones you plant and grow quietly in your sacred space, away from the noise. We value that deeply, and honestly, it soothes my soul."

While the "Beat of the Music" singer has intentionally kept his relationship out of the spotlight, he told PEOPLE in December that, while cutting back on social media and making his personal life more private, he was spending more time with someone he wanted to have a future with.

"I have an amazing person in my life and I'm very happy about it," he teased while in the midst of his annual Glow Live holiday tour. "These moments are really sacred to me and her. I'm very happy, and things are going great."

"It's been really cool to step back from the expectations of industry and decide what I want my story to look like moving forward," he added. "I made some big changes in my life and have found a really good balance and still do what I love. There is a place where you can still be yourself and be yourself to your fans and not sell your soul to the content machine."
