The *Boy Meets World** *family is cementing their bond in a way even more permanent than physical media.
During the world premiere of *Doc Meets World* on June 6, Danielle Fishel revealed that she and former costars Will Friedle and Rider Strong are celebrating their friendship enduring years after the beloved sitcom aired on TV with matching tattoos.
Fishel told fans attending the premiere during the Tribeca Festival in New York City that the trio, who reunited for a rewatch podcast titled *Pod Meets World *in 2022, will get tattoos that include the phrase "Pod dismissed" in the same font as their *Boy Meets World* scripts. The inked memento will also feature a drawing of a paper airplane, which was part of the show's original logo.
"Pod dismissed" is the signature sign-off for the trio's podcast, which is an homage to "Class dismissed," the emotional closing line spoken by William Daniels' Mr. Feeny in the show's final scene.

While sharing the news with their audience, Fishel revealed that they want the tattoo to be done by someone with a close relationship to the series, PEOPLE reported.
"Another thing I really want to do, that we have to try to work out, just because we keep layering on sentimental thing on sentimental thing — Jeff McCracken, our favorite director's daughter is a tattoo artist," Fishel explained. "So I want Jeff McCracken's daughter to give us something."
Fishel, Friedle, and Strong were part of the ABC sitcom's main cast alongside Ben Savage from 1993 to 2000. The trio's portrayals of Topanga Lawrence, Eric Matthews, and Shawn Hunter, respectively, made them some of *Boy Meets World*'s most beloved characters. New cast members came and made their marks, like Matthew Lawrence, Lee Norris, Trina McGee, and Maitland Ward, but the core four remained throughout the series' run.

The three have kept the show's spirit alive with their podcast, which routinely makes headlines for the hosts' candid discussions of the highs and lows of their time on set. They've been transparent about the trials and tribulations of their time on the sitcom, and the fractured relationships that have withered away in its absence.
One particular relationship that gets a spotlight on both the podcast and its documentary, is the trio's falling out with Savage. Savage played series lead Cory Matthews across the series run, with Fishel playing his crush, girlfriend, and then wife. Strong played Cory's best friend and Friedle played his brother.

*Doc Meets World *unpacks what went on between 2022 — the launch of their rewatch podcast and the last time any of them say they were on friendly terms with Savage — and today. As of 2026, Savage has been radio silent.

Ben Savage, Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle, and Rider Strong for 'Boy Meets World' in 1994.
In the documentary, the podcast cohosts claim that their communications with Savage began freezing over as they prepared to launch *Pod Meets World *in 2022. While Savage was at first friendly but disinterested in their attempts to involve him in the podcast, they claim he grew less responsive, before unfollowing them all on Instagram and blocking their numbers. In a scene shot backstage at a *Pod Meets World *live show, Friedle showed that Savage hadn't responded to a text from Friedle since April 2020, and his iMessages switched from blue to green, potentially denoting a block.
Despite playing best friends for nearly a decade, Strong said in *Doc Meets World *that he and Savage were "never close." Still, he noted that he still texts Savage at least once a month, hoping that he'll respond. Fishel expressed hope that the sitcom's core four will reunite and renew their old bonds one day.
