Pantera delivered a heartfelt tribute to the iconic frontman of the legendary English heavy metal band Motörhead, Lemmy.
The late musician, whose real name is Ian Fraser Kilmister, died in 2015 at his Los Angeles apartment.
The Motörhead founder, who was 70 at the time, lost his battle just two days after being diagnosed with prostate cancer.
The sad news was announced by the band on their official Facebook page, noting that his death was after a “short battle with an extremely aggressive cancer."
Ten years after his passing, Pantera remembered Lemmy’s groundbreaking influence and enduring legacy in the music industry.

In an Instagram post, the American heavy metal band paid a special tribute by sharing rare photos featuring the iconic frontman with Pantera vocalist Phil Anselmo, bassist Rex Brown, guitarist Zakk Wylde and the group’s late member "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott.
“10 years without Lemmy. You are missed,” the caption reads.
In a separate post, Brown also shared a photo of him with the English musician with a short yet endearing message saying, “You are missed, Lemmy.”

Both bands share the same rebellious spirit, with Pantera and Motörhead leaving a lasting mark on the heavy metal scene.
Anselmo mentioned in 2022 how Lemmy’s unique voice caught his attention. Moreover, the 54-year-old frontman revealed how the late musician personally inspired him.
"The first thing that attracted me to MOTÖRHEAD was Lemmy Kilmister and the sound of his voice,” he told Banger TV as cited by Blabbermouth, adding, “And then it was solidified… In 1985, I went to a show outside New Orleans, Louisiana, and it was AGNOSTIC FRONT and MOTÖRHEAD. It was a wall of crushing sound and they were just incredible; they sounded great. Lemmy was so long lasting and impressionable, man, on me. He's forever, and I love him."
Besides serving as an inspiration, Anselmo revealed how Lemmy acted like a big brother to him, especially during his early years in the industry.
"He was always, always, always — especially when I was young — he was always the one to tell me that music and your lifetime in music and your popularity and whatever, it's here and gone — it's a fleeting thing and it's also ebb and flow," the vocalist revealed on Fantasm podcast.
Moreover, he also exposed him to criticism and different perspectives on artistic choices, emphasizing that, regardless, one must keep going, as these challenges are a natural part of a long-lasting career.
